Park Hee-young, Yongsan District Mayor, Appointed as Seoul City Urban Planning Committee Member

Yongsan-gu, Seoul announced on the 21st that District Mayor Park Hee-young was newly appointed as a member of the Seoul City Urban Planning Committee on the 6th. Mayor Park will participate in urban development and policy decision-making at the Seoul City Urban Planning Committee for the next two years.

Based on her extensive experience in the real estate policy field, Mayor Park is expected to make substantial contributions to Seoul's urban planning and real estate-related policies. She has served as the Chairperson of the People Power Party Yongsan-gu Real Estate Policy Special Committee and as the Chair of the "Gyeongbu Line Undergrounding Promotion Council," which includes seven local governments in the Seoul and Gyeonggi areas, playing a key role in resolving various urban planning issues related to real estate and transportation.

The Seoul City Urban Planning Committee is a core organization for Seoul's urban planning, redevelopment plans, and housing policies. Mayor Park will discuss the future direction of Seoul's urban development and reflect diverse opinions within the committee.

Mayor Park expressed her thoughts, saying, "Over the next two years, I will actively participate in proposing and realizing policies on major urban planning issues and vigorously advocate for policies that improve the welfare and living standards of not only Yongsan residents but also Seoul citizens." Her first schedule is to attend the "16th Seoul City Urban Planning Committee" meeting to be held on the 4th of next month.

The Seoul City Urban Planning Committee consists of 30 members with a two-year term, including public officials, city council members, and experts in fields such as urban planning, architecture, transportation, and environment.
