Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, Sharing Session on 'Establishing Support System for Psychological and Emotional Crisis in Young Children'

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Tae-hee) announced on the 21st that it will hold a research result sharing session on the ‘2024 Psychological and Emotional Crisis Support System for Young Children’ to establish mutually cooperative and field-based early childhood education policy plans.

The event, held on the 22nd at Suwon (Ibis), is expected to be attended by education researchers and staff interested in early childhood education policies from various departments of the Provincial Office of Education, education support offices, and affiliated institutions.


The main agenda includes △ guidance on the research process and results △ presentations of achievements by project institutions (Provincial Office of Education’s Early Childhood Integration Preparation Team, Gyeonggi Gimpo Education Support Office, Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Southern Early Childhood Experience Education Center) △ discussions on reflecting items for the 2025 project plans of affiliated institutions (Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Early Childhood Experience Education Centers (South/North) and the Early Childhood Integration Preparation Team).


The Provincial Office of Education plans to focus on establishing cooperative policies based on field-centered research results sharing sessions and will also prioritize collecting opinions and exploring applicable models to draft substantial policy plans.


Additionally, for young children currently experiencing psychological and emotional crises, efforts will be made to support their adaptation to the first school, improve kindergarten life adaptability, and promote healthy growth.


Jang Hyun-woo, Director of the Early Childhood Education Division at the Provincial Office of Education, stated, “By sharing the research results and development directions, we will build a strong cooperative system among related institutions and departments,” adding, “We will continue to strive to enhance the educational capacity of the early childhood education community by ensuring children’s right to learn and fostering a culture that respects kindergarten teachers’ educational activities.”
