Gwangalli Hot Place 'Samjin Pocha' Extends Operation with Winter Season Popup

Upgraded Menu with Premium Eomuk Including Eomuktang... Season 2 Extended Until February 28 Next Year

Unlimited Anju and Alcohol for 19,900 KRW... OB Beer, Jipyeong Brewery, Daesun Brewery, SPC Samlip Participating

In June, Samjin Fish Cake, South Korea's representative fish cake brand, opened a pop-up rooftop bar called ‘Samjin Pocha,’ which, thanks to its popularity last season, will be extended as ‘Samjin Pocha Season 2’ until February next year.

‘Samjin Pocha’ is located on a three-story rooftop right in front of Gwangalli Beach, offering a panoramic view of Gwangalli Beach and Gwangandaegyo Bridge. Since its opening in June, it has become a hot spot attracting over 2,000 visitors per month on average. It is also perfectly situated for viewing the Busan Fireworks Festival and drone shows, one of Busan’s representative festivals, making it a must-visit spot for visitors to Gwangalli Beach.

Samjin Fish Cake, which initially planned to run the pop-up ‘Samjin Pocha’ until the 9th of this month, decided to extend it as ‘Samjin Pocha Season 2.’ Along with an overall menu renewal, the popular winter dish, fish cake soup, will be upgraded to offer a more sophisticated taste.

In addition to Samjin Fish Cake Soup made with more than 11 types of premium fish cakes, the menu now includes mul tteok (water rice cakes), spicy chicken feet soup, sundae (Korean blood sausage), fish cake waffles, fish cake hot bars, crispy chips (snacks), various ramen dishes, and seasonal items like steamed buns and udon, which are especially loved in cold weather. For the fish cake waffles, the menu was enhanced to meet the needs of Generation Z, who enjoy customizing their own dishes, by offering 10 different seasonings to sprinkle on top.

The seasonal menu additions of steamed buns and udon consist of ‘Samlip Hoppang’ from SPC Samlip, ‘Haimeun Pocha Udon,’ and ‘Haimeun Jang Kalguksu.’ For alcoholic beverages, unlimited servings of OB Beer Cass, Jipyeong Brewery’s Jipyeong Saeng Makgeolli, Bonidalbam, Daesun Brewery’s Gangalli, and Daesun Soju are available.

Along with Samjin Fish Cake, various offline events by participating companies in ‘Samjin Pocha Season 2’ will be organized by date and time, continuing the summer’s hot energy into the winter season.

Park Yong-jun, CEO of Samjin Fish Cake, said, “Samjin Pocha, which was planned to operate for about five months, received more love than expected,” adding, “We ask for your continued interest in the value-focused pop-up bar ‘Samjin Pocha Season 2.’”

The lineup of alcoholic beverage partners for ‘Samjin Pocha Season 2’ is also impressive. OB Beer Cass, which participated as the official beer of the 2024 Paris Olympics, maintained its overwhelming number one market share in the domestic beer market this year as well, holding the top sales position for 13 consecutive years. Jipyeong Brewery’s Jipyeong Saeng Makgeolli uses 100% domestic rice and Jipyeong nuruk, offering a deeper and more refined flavor.

Additionally, Daesun Brewery’s Gangalli is gaining popularity among people in their 20s with its Instagrammable design.

SPC Samlip is leading the K-food market by increasing domestic sales and expanding exports of ‘Haimeun,’ a Korean gourmet noodle brand, and ‘Samlip Hoppang,’ a representative winter national snack.
