The outstanding case presented by Yeoju City this time is the "Yeoju-type Lifelong Learning Community Ecosystem Construction" project. This project stood out for establishing an organic connection between lifelong education institutions, instructors, and the local community through delivery lectures, lifelong learning clubs, Odagadahaksoogwan (space donation), and Baeummisikhoe (education donation). It also received high praise for creating an environment where any Yeoju citizen can learn anytime and anywhere through a system that shifted from institution-led learning to voluntary and autonomous learning led by the private sector.

Lee Chung-woo, Mayor of Yeoju City, said, "This award is an achievement made together by all Yeoju citizens," and added, "We will continue to expand opportunities for lifelong learning to make Yeoju a city full of learning."

He also added, "Through lifelong learning, we will improve the quality of life of citizens and contribute to the development of the local community."
