Mokpo National University Elevates Engineering Status with 'MNU Engineering Festival'

Department Promotion and Capstone Design Outstanding Achievement Exhibition

The College of Engineering and the Engineering Education Innovation Center at Mokpo National University (President Song Ha-cheol) held the ‘2024 MNU Engineering Festival’ from the 19th to the 20th at the Knowledge Information Center of the Mokpo National University Library to showcase outstanding capstone design projects by engineering students and to enhance the status of engineering contributing to the growth and development of the local economy.

According to Mokpo National University on the 21st, the festival was organized to provide a field education venue to boost the morale and pride of engineering students, featuring various programs such as △department promotions and exhibitions of outstanding capstone design achievements △President’s Cup Engineering Capstone Design Competition △invited special lectures △employment support programs △engineering-related experiential events.

President Song Ha-cheol congratulated the event in his opening remarks, saying, “I sincerely celebrate this meaningful occasion that elevates the status of engineers leading the growth and development of the regional economy.”

Dean Choi Jong-myung of the College of Engineering stated, “The MNU Engineering Festival is a meaningful celebration to share creative ideas and innovative research achievements for the future, widely publicize various accomplishments in the engineering field, and pledge new challenges. I hope this will be a time for everyone to celebrate and encourage together, supporting the continuous growth and development of the College of Engineering with one heart.”

Director Oh Myung-ho of the Engineering Education Innovation Center said, “This MNU Engineering Festival has become a meaningful event to widely publicize the achievements and enhance the completeness of the results through the capstone design competition presentations by engineering students. We will continue to share educational sites to nurture creative and convergent talents and strive steadily to cultivate competitive engineering professionals.”
