The Gyeongsan Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Cho Hyun-il) announced that the Geumbok Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Kim Dong-gu) donated 10 million KRW in scholarships on the 20th to foster local talent.
Kim Il-hwan, CEO of Geumbokju, stated, “We decided to support scholarship funds in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region to give back to the local community that has shown us love,” adding, “Although it is a cold winter, we hope this will remain a warm memory for the children.”

Chairman Cho Hyun-il (Mayor of Gyeongsan) expressed gratitude, saying, “The Geumbok Scholarship Foundation carries out various social contribution activities such as scholarship support projects, neighborly love practice projects, and educational cultural projects. We appreciate their continued donation of scholarship funds to the Gyeongsan Scholarship Foundation this year as well as last year,” and added, “We will do our best in the scholarship projects so that local students can grow into proud local talents.”
Meanwhile, the Geumbok Scholarship Foundation is supporting scholarships to foster local talent in 31 cities, counties, and districts in Daegu-Gyeongbuk this year as well as last year. In addition, through various social contribution activities such as the Warm Companion Campaign, encouragement funds for the Daegu National Sports Festival, and medical expense support for children from low-income families, the foundation is striving to alleviate welfare blind spots in the local community.
