Lotte World Hotel and Signiel Seoul Provide Special Gifts to Vulnerable Children in Songpa-gu

Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) held an invitation event called ‘Sweet Night with Lotte Hotel’ on the evening of the 20th at the Crystal Ballroom of Lotte Hotel Jamsil for children from vulnerable families.

Since 2018, Lotte Hotel has partnered with Songpa-gu to provide special memories and cultural experiences to children from vulnerable groups in the community every year. This year as well, Lotte Hotel and Signiel Seoul generously covered all event expenses, joining forces to alleviate the emotional and cultural isolation of vulnerable groups at the end of the year.

Under the warm solidarity of the local community, the event was held on the evening of the 20th. A total of 370 participants, including Dream Start children, multicultural families, foster care and group home children and their families, enjoyed a luxurious hotel dinner and spent a truly “sweet night” as the event’s name suggested.

There were also plenty of entertaining performances such as ▲martial arts demonstrations by active police officers from Songpa Police Station and ▲magic shows. Especially, the ▲raffle worth about 1 million won was the highlight of the event. The lucky winners enjoyed the joy of receiving generous prizes including ▲accommodation vouchers for Signiel Seoul, ▲Lotte Hotel accommodation vouchers and hotel gift certificates, and △Lotte World free admission tickets.

A hotel official expressed their ambition, saying, “We will establish ourselves as a warm partner in the local community through various forms of social contribution activities.” In addition, since 2022, Lotte Hotel has continued its good deeds by gifting character hotel rooms and breakfast every month to two Dream Start families.

Moreover, the event was made more meaningful by the participation of individual volunteers who wished to donate their talents to support the event. A professional photographer active in the local area helped families take commemorative photos, contributing to creating lasting memories. The photos taken on the day will be individually delivered to each family.

‘Dream Start’ is a program that operates various activities such as cognitive, language, emotional and behavioral support, and family support to help vulnerable children in the community grow up healthily. This year, it provided a wide range of support including musical viewing, birthday cake delivery, study room setup, and autumn outings, offering quality learning environments and cultural and artistic experiences.
