Hana Bank announced on the 21st that it hosted over 100 youths from 35 countries worldwide for a 'Global Financial Experience Program.'

This program is part of the '2024 Overseas Youth Korean Language Education Training,' hosted by the Ministry of Education and organized by the International Korean Language Education Foundation, held from the 18th to the 22nd over 4 nights and 5 days.

Hana Bank has participated as the official sponsor bank of the 'Overseas Youth Korean Language Education Training' for six years to strengthen the international status of the Korean language and help overseas youths, the future leaders, grow into key talents.

The invited overseas youths are students learning Korean at regular middle and high schools in 35 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. They are future key personnel who will play an important role in educational and cultural cooperation between countries, based on their enhanced Korean language skills and deep understanding of Korean culture and history.

The youths stayed at Hana Financial Group’s training center, 'Hana Global Campus,' located in Cheongna, Incheon, where they spent meaningful time communicating and interacting in Korean through activities such as appreciating and presenting Korean literary works and attending musical performances, experiencing various aspects of Korean culture.

Hana Bank also provided diverse financial education for the participating youths. First, they arranged a tour of 'Hana Infinity Seoul,' the largest dealing room in Korea equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure operating 24/7.

The youths had the opportunity to vividly experience the intense atmosphere of Hana Bank’s dealing room, which leads the foreign exchange market with various capital transactions including foreign exchange, derivatives, and securities.

Additionally, through visits to the Currency Museum and Counterfeit Currency Response Center located in Hana Financial Group’s Myeongdong building, the youths had a unique experience of seeing actual currencies from around the world and received counterfeit currency detection education based on Hana Bank’s global competitiveness and know-how in counterfeit currency appraisal.

Following this, at 'Hana Play Park' in Myeongdong, Hana Bank’s brand experience space, the youths enjoyed the bank’s brand content while taking commemorative photos in front of a large graffiti wall featuring Son Heung-min, South Korea’s representative soccer player and Hana Financial Group model, highlighting Hana Bank’s leadership in K-finance across 26 regions worldwide.

A foreign student from Laos who participated in the program said, "Today’s experience of visiting Hana Bank and experiencing advanced finance will remain memorable for a long time," and added, "I am grateful to Hana Bank for improving my perception of Korea through this special experience."

Meanwhile, Hana Bank continues to support educational supplies for overseas vulnerable children, including ongoing scholarships for disadvantaged students at a prestigious private university in Jakarta, Indonesia. Domestically, the bank has practiced ESG management by running the children’s economic musical 'Jack’s Magic Wallet' for 17 years.
