Following this, Lee Woo-taek, a policy research committee member of Population and Future, who was invited as a lecturer, conducted the education. On this day, Researcher Lee gave lectures on △ the current status and issues of low birth rates and an aging society △ cases of advanced countries △ and response measures for our society.
A Goyang Special City official said, "We hope that this education will serve as an opportunity for university students to feel the population crisis and change their values regarding marriage, pregnancy, and childbirth from the perspective of the future of the city and the nation."
Meanwhile, according to statistics, Goyang Special City's total fertility rate in 2023 was 0.695, which is lower than the national average of 0.721 and the Gyeonggi Province average of 0.766.
