Muan-gun Completes Survey Control Point Investigation

Notification of Disposal of Damage Identification Reference Points and New/Reinstallation

Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 20th that it has completed the survey of survey control points (national control points and cadastral control points), which serve as the basis for surveying.

The county formed its own survey team and, in cooperation with LX Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation, completed an investigation from March to October on 119 national control points and 3,086 cadastral control points to check for loss or damage.

Through this investigation, the county identified any abnormalities in the survey control point markers, and plans to officially discard and then newly install or reinstall cadastral control points confirmed to be lost or damaged due to road excavation, paving, development projects, and other causes.

Kim Su-young, Head of the Civil Complaints and Cadastral Division, stated, “With the completion of this survey control point investigation, we will provide more accurate surveying results to contribute to the protection of residents' property rights and do our best to prevent land boundary disputes in advance.”
