This second half new recipient training targeted about 290 new recipients from the four districts excluded from the first half training, providing explanations and usage guidance on the 2024 medical benefit system.

In particular, to help new medical benefit recipients understand the medical benefit system and encourage rational medical use, the training was conducted in the form of explanations and Q&A covering overall aspects of the medical benefit system, methods for calculating benefit days, procedures for extension approval and applying for selected medical benefit institutions, proper use of medical benefit institutions, and rational medication usage, providing detailed information on utilizing the medical benefit system.

Medical benefit recipients said, “It was helpful to receive easy-to-understand explanations face-to-face about the complex medical benefit system and to ask questions, which resolved many of our concerns,” and expressed their gratitude to Dongducheon City for providing this valuable opportunity.

Meanwhile, the city conducts group training annually for new medical benefit recipients to guide them on the medical benefit system, aiming to provide more substantial information on medical benefit usage to satisfy medical needs and further help improve the quality of healthy life.
