Anseong City Wins Grand Prize in 'Hanwoo' and 'Yukwoo' Categories at Gyeonggi-do Farmers and Fishermen Awards

The Only Producer Organization Among 15 Categories

On the 20th, Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced that the Anseong Matchum Hanwoo Association received the grand prize in the Hanwoo category, and the Korea Dairy and Beef Cattle Association Anseong Branch received the grand prize in the dairy and beef cattle category at the '2024 Gyeonggi Province Farmers and Fishermen Awards' held on the 18th at the Suwon Convention Center.

At the awards ceremony held as part of Gyeonggi Province Agricultural Workers' Day, awards were given in a total of 15 categories. The city explained that among all categories, the only producer organizations to receive awards were the Anseong Matchum Hanwoo Association and the Korea Dairy and Beef Cattle Association Anseong Branch.

Lee Sang-in, Director of the Anseong Agricultural Technology Center, said, "The simultaneous awards to these two producer organizations prove that Anseong livestock farming is the best in Gyeonggi Province," adding, "We will continue to lead Korea's livestock industry through the development of new technologies and the production of high-quality livestock products."
