The event held on the 19th was attended by about 300 people, including Mayor An Byeong-gu, City Council Chairman Heo Hong, Provincial Assemblyman Jang Byeong-guk, city council members, representatives of women's organizations, and citizens. The event opened with pre-performance shows such as a Gogo Janggu performance by Together More Growth Social Cooperative and a brass band performance by the Salvation Army Miryang Sunshine Nuri Brass Band.

Participants showed interest in their surroundings and, using purple handkerchiefs symbolizing the meaning of "look," shouted the violence prevention slogan, "When respect blooms, safety grows," while performing a purple wave performance.

Next, an invited lecture titled "Violence is Addiction" was delivered by Sergeant Bang Won-woo, a crime profiler from the Gyeongsangnam-do Police Agency. Sergeant Bang explained the psychological structure of violence and the impact of gender equality on crime prevention, emphasizing the role of the community. He recently achieved notable results, including eliciting a confession from a suspect in a murder case in Pattaya, Thailand.

On the same day, the Miryang Talent Poetry Recitation Association presented a poetic play titled "It's Okay, It's Okay," themed on courage and hope, which deeply resonated with citizens and contributed to forming a consensus on violence prevention.

Heo Hae-seon, director of the Miryang City Sexual Violence and Domestic Violence Integrated Counseling Center, said, "This event was a meaningful time for citizens to empathize and unite on non-violence," adding, "We will continue to work with the local community to create a safe Miryang free from violence."

Mayor An said, "We plan to promote various policies to spread a culture of non-violence to make Miryang a safe and dignified city. Let us move forward together to make Miryang a shining city where citizens are happy."
