Prompt Resolution of Sewerage Inconvenience Complaints

The Water and Sewage Department of Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 20th that it will operate the "2024 Winter Sewer Emergency Dispatch 24-Hour Special Task Force" to promptly address sewer-related complaints during this winter season.

The special task force will operate from December 11, 2024, to February 29, 2025. The city has organized a special task force consisting of 20 emergency dispatch members divided into 8 teams, equipped with 8 pieces of in-house equipment (6 dredging vehicles and 2 CCTV inspection vehicles for pipeline investigation), along with annual maintenance contractors for sewers by region.

Since most sewer complaints can cause significant inconvenience to citizens and property damage if not promptly addressed, the city plans to minimize citizen inconvenience through the operation of this special task force.

An official from Goyang Special City stated, "We will do our best to improve citizen satisfaction and create a pleasant living environment by promptly resolving sewer-related issues through the operation of the 24-hour Sewer Emergency Dispatch Special Task Force."

During the operation period of the special task force, if any sewer-related inconveniences such as sewer backflow or manhole damage occur, citizens can contact the Goyang City Water and Sewage Department.
