"End of Suneung, Time to Buy Clothes"… Zigzag Sees 30% Increase in New High School Senior Sign-ups

Number of Products Purchased and Transaction Amount by High School Seniors Increase by 10% and 13% Compared to Previous Week

Zigzag, a style commerce platform operated by KakaoStyle, announced on the 20th that the number of new student sign-ups increased by 30% compared to the previous week after the 2025 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) ended.


According to KakaoStyle, from the 15th to the 17th, the three days following the CSAT, the number of new sign-ups born in 2006, corresponding to the current third-year high school students, increased by 30% compared to the previous week. This figure is also 31% higher compared to last year’s CSAT season (November 17th?19th), indicating that new sign-ups among third-year high school students tend to rise every year after the CSAT, KakaoStyle explained.

During these three days, third-year high school customers opened the Zigzag app more than 14 times per day on average. The number of purchased items and transaction amounts also increased by 10% and 13%, respectively, compared to the week before the CSAT. The main search keywords were knitwear, mustang jackets, and padded jackets, showing that winter clothing gained popularity due to the colder weather.


Looking at the number of purchased items by category, shopping malls, beauty, fashion brands, and life categories ranked highest. The life category showed the largest growth rate compared to the previous week, with the number of purchased items and transaction amounts increasing significantly by 86% and 116%, respectively. The shopping mall category, which had the most orders from third-year high school customers, also saw increases of 12% and 10% in the number of purchased items and transaction amounts compared to the previous week.


A KakaoStyle representative said, "As we have expanded our selection to brands preferred by teenagers and offered competitive prices, the sign-up rate of third-year high school customers has been on the rise after the CSAT. We will strive to provide a satisfying shopping experience for a wide range of age groups so that they can embark on their journey to find their own style on Zigzag in the long term."


Meanwhile, Zigzag is offering discounts on popular store season best products and winter outerwear at the lowest prices of the year through the 'Black Friday' promotion running until the 2nd of next month.
