On the 19th, Ulsan Ulju-gun and Busan Gijang-gun signed a business agreement for cooperation and operation in the forestry sector at the Gijang-gun Office, attended by Lee Soon-geol, the head of Ulju-gun, and Jeong Jong-bok, the head of Gijang-gun.
This agreement was promoted to enable the neighboring Ulju-gun and Gijang-gun to organically cooperate in the forestry sector, respond together, and seek development plans.
According to the agreement, Ulju-gun and Gijang-gun will cooperate on ▲discovering and building joint regional forest recreation projects ▲establishing a joint prevention and response system for forest disasters (forest fires, landslides, forest pests and diseases) ▲discovering and operating models to solve regional issues through focused cooperation in specialized fields (parks, gardens, green spaces) ▲and cooperating on other mutually recognized necessary matters such as connecting forest trails and forest roads.
Lee Soon-geol, the head of Ulju-gun, said, “Ulju-gun will actively implement the contents of the agreement, including establishing a joint prevention and response system for forest disasters with Gijang-gun,” and added, “I hope that this business agreement will serve as an opportunity for the two local governments to achieve mutual growth in various areas, including the forestry sector.”
