Fasoo Releases New Version of Data Security Solution 'Fasoo Enterprise DRM'

Fasoo announced on the 19th that it will launch a new version of its flagship data security solution, ‘Fasoo Enterprise DRM (FED).’

The new FED enables thorough document protection and unified policy management. Local DRM documents can now be easily utilized in cloud AI services. FED currently supports integration with M365 and plans to gradually expand support to Google Drive and AWS in the future.

Leading the global zero-trust data security market, FED is a solution that applies continuous encryption throughout the entire lifecycle of a file, from creation to disposal. It restricts viewing, editing, printing, and other actions based on assigned permissions, and provides file usage history and logs to track and manage all processes from document creation to disposal.

In line with the expansion of the cloud, Fasoo supports secure data management without restrictions on document environments, applications, or operating systems through the next-generation FED.

FED offers integrated management of cloud security policies, enabling unified security management across both local and cloud environments. It also provides consolidated usage logs for intuitive monitoring of document usage history.

Documents encrypted with DRM easily maintain policies and security while moving between local and cloud environments. When FED is used together with Microsoft M365’s security features (MIP), local DRM files are automatically converted into M365 secure files in the cloud environment. Documents containing sensitive information or confidential materials remain as DRM documents without being converted into cloud documents, allowing enhanced security levels through detailed policy settings.

FED’s cloud integration capabilities also enable the use of DRM documents in AI services. Local DRM documents can be automatically converted into M365 documents, facilitating easy use with MS Copilot and other methods to strengthen an organization’s AI capabilities.

The next-generation FED minimizes security blind spots that occur in organizations using only cloud security features. In real work environments, it is common to download cloud documents locally for use. At this time, FED’s detailed permission control features can be applied to enhance security, including basic viewing, editing, and printing controls, as well as screen capture control, clipboard encryption, watermark printing, security level changes, and export approval. DRM can be applied to files such as drawings (CAD), PDFs, images, and HWP files that previously could not be secured with cloud security, safely protecting important data such as intellectual property (IP), and it also supports Mac environments.
