To Create a Safe Workplace
On the 21st at City Hall Dasan Hall
Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 19th that it will conduct the ‘Second Half Specialized Training for Major Accident Prevention’ on the 21st at the Dasan Hall in City Hall to promote safety and health culture and strengthen capabilities.
This training was conducted for about 200 safety and health supervisors and personnel responsible for major accident prevention tasks.
The main focus of the training was on identifying, preventing, and improving hazardous and risky factors, which are considered the primary causes of major accidents, in advance.
To this end, the training included strengthening practical skills centered on △ risk assessment procedures △ establishment and implementation methods of risk reduction measures △ major accident case studies.
Lee Myung-gu, the Citizen Safety Officer, stated, “We will continuously provide education and support so that the responsible staff always recognize the importance of safety and can establish a practical prevention system. Through thorough management and efforts to prevent major accidents, we will do our best to ensure that both citizens and workers can live in a safe environment.”
The city conducts specialized training every half year to raise safety awareness and spread a safety management culture, and plans to continuously promote preventive activities and policies prioritizing the safety of citizens and workers with the goal of zero major accidents.
