Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyung-deok) announced on the 19th that on the 18th, a consignment agreement for the Youth Counseling and Welfare Center was signed in the mayor's office with Mayor Park Hyung-deok and Yoo Ji-ryong, chairman of the Dongducheon District Committee for Youth Crime Prevention, in attendance.

This agreement was promoted as the consignment period for the Youth Counseling and Welfare Center was set to expire on December 31, 2024. After a public recruitment and a selection committee review, the Dongducheon District Committee for Youth Crime Prevention was chosen as the final consignment institution.
The Dongducheon District Committee for Youth Crime Prevention plans to carry out all operations of the Youth Counseling and Welfare Center facilities and projects, operate the youth safety network, run the youth companion program, and conduct other youth counseling and welfare support activities recognized by the Mayor of Dongducheon City, as well as other youth-related projects for the next three years.
A Dongducheon City official stated, “We hope that all the daily concerns of local youth, including school dropout and internet addiction, as well as the worries of youth and their guardians, will be resolved at the Youth Counseling and Welfare Center.”
