Dongducheon-si Announces Results of 2024 Dongducheon-si Creative Ideas Contest

On the 18th, Dongducheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 19th that the final presentations for the 2024 Dongducheon City Innovation Contest were held in the city hall's main conference room.

On that day, the innovation judging panel listened to presentations from five teams of civil servants and civilians who advanced to the finals, followed by a Q&A session regarding the practicality and effectiveness of the proposals. The final rankings were determined by combining the results of the first, second, and third evaluations and a citizen preference survey (30%) with the judges' scores (70%).

As a result of the finals, the team Ugongisan, which presented the proposal titled "Square (光), Becoming the Light of Dongducheon" to transform the upper area of Soyosan parking lot into a grass plaza, was awarded the gold prize.

Dongducheon City awarded prize money and certificates as follows: 5 million KRW for the gold prize (1 team), 2.5 million KRW for the silver prize (1 team), 1 million KRW for the bronze prize (1 team), and 500,000 KRW for the encouragement prize (2 teams). The five proposals that reached the finals will be reviewed by the relevant departments of Dongducheon City for implementation or future policy reflection.
