The Gyeonggi Province Excellent Job-Creating Companies Certification is a program in which Gyeonggi Province certifies outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based on quantitative growth in jobs such as employment numbers and employment growth rate, as well as qualitative evaluations of jobs including employee welfare and long-term retention rates. Certified companies receive various benefits such as support for improving employment conditions and deferral of local corporate tax audits.

This year, to encourage the creation of quality jobs for youth, a new certification called ‘Youth-Friendly Companies’ was established, and 10 companies that scored highly in wage levels and youth-friendly corporate culture were newly certified.

The excellent company certification system not only encourages SMEs in the province to continuously create quality jobs but also serves as a means to resolve job mismatches by informing job seekers about SMEs that have good wages and working conditions but face difficulties in recruitment.

Ko Young-in, Vice Governor of Gyeonggi Province for Economic Affairs, stated, "Although the number of employed persons is increasing, the quality of jobs is declining as regular positions are decreasing," and added, "We will strive to continuously expand the employment rate and the proportion of regular workers."
