Prospects for 100 Workers Entering Next Year... Expansion of Support for Farms

According to Yeoju City on the 19th, the mayor of Tublay expressed gratitude for being able to send workers through the MOU signed with Yeoju City and stated that they will thoroughly prepare so that workers can quickly adapt to the work site through education on Korean culture, language, farm work, and physical training. In particular, they emphasized their commitment to preventing unauthorized absences.
Lee Chung-woo, Mayor of Yeoju City, responded, “Seasonal workers are a great help to Yeoju City, which is experiencing a shortage of agricultural labor,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure that excellent agricultural workers can settle stably in Yeoju through continuous and friendly relations with Tublay City.”
Since directly visiting Tublay City and signing the MOU in January this year, Yeoju City has contributed to alleviating rural labor shortages by placing a total of 37 seasonal workers in 12 farms since July. In addition, local interviews for sending seasonal workers in 2025 were conducted in October, and about 100 workers are expected to enter Yeoju City next year.
Going forward, Yeoju City plans to strengthen the placement and management system of seasonal workers and meet the demands of farms based on close cooperation with Tublay City.
