Currently, public officials in Hanam City are experiencing significant stress from their work. This is because the population has surged due to the development of four new towns?Misa, Wirye, Gam-il, and Gyosan?resulting in an explosive increase in administrative demands and various civil complaints.
Accordingly, as part of a project to improve organizational culture, the “Looking Into Myself, My Mind Report” program was prepared to care for the mental health of public officials.
The program involved conducting an online psychological test for 38 participating employees and provided personalized psychological reports containing ▲ the most prominent psychological codes for each individual ▲ the main patterns of their psychological traits as they appear in daily interpersonal relationships ▲ and psychiatric conditions such as stress and depressive tendencies.
Subsequently, through a workshop, participants were given ▲ an introduction to the key concepts of the Mind Report ▲ methods to understand and effectively utilize their own mental state ▲ and self-reflection solutions. Additionally, an emotion-sharing activity using facial expression dice was conducted to help employees reduce their stress levels.
One employee who participated in the workshop said, “This program gave me a meaningful opportunity to reflect on myself,” adding, “Especially during today’s workshop, sharing emotions with colleagues helped me gain psychological stability.”
Mayor Lee Hyun-jae emphasized, “This program was planned to alleviate the work-related stress of public officials,” and added, “Hanam City will continue to do its best to provide high-quality administrative services to citizens by ensuring public officials have psychological stability and increased job satisfaction through various programs.”
Meanwhile, last year Hanam City also operated the employee healing program “The Most Private Bookstore” to promote innovative change and improve organizational culture, fostering an atmosphere of innovative administration with communication throughout the organization.
