Exhibition of Excellent Companies from Three Central Asian Countries Held on the 18th
Last Month, a Delegation of Importers Was Dispatched to Explore Supply Chains

The Korea Importers Association announced on the 19th that it held a briefing session introducing outstanding companies from three Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan) and a networking event in collaboration with the embassies of each country at the association's seminar room in Seocho, Seoul on the 18th.

The briefing was attended by Kim Byung-kwan, Chairman of the Korea Importers Association; Daulet Sakhtaganov, Representative of the Kazakhstan Investment Agency in Korea; Amatov Edil, Commercial Attach? of the Kyrgyzstan Embassy in Korea; Akhmazonov Doniyor, Commercial Attach? of the Uzbekistan Embassy in Korea; officials from the embassies of each country; and over 20 domestic import companies.


At the event, major companies and products from the three Central Asian countries in sectors such as food, agricultural products, industrial equipment, and machinery were introduced.


Chairman Kim said, "This meeting was organized to connect excellent companies discovered through the Central Asia import delegation activities with domestic companies," adding, "We will do our best to revitalize business and strengthen cooperation between Korea and Central Asia."


Commercial Attach? Amatov Edil emphasized, "Kyrgyzstan expects to expand trade and investment by Korean companies through improvements in transportation infrastructure and Korea-Kyrgyzstan FTA negotiations," and added, "We will actively strive to further expand exchanges in various industrial fields."


The Korea Importers Association dispatched an import delegation to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan from the 20th to 30th of last month, focusing on discovering global supply chains.
