Saedeulman Co. in Seosan Exports 18 Tons of High-Quality Rice to the Netherlands

Seosan City in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 19th that Saedeulman Co., Ltd., an agricultural corporation specializing in rice production, held a shipment ceremony to export 18 tons of high-quality rice to the Netherlands.

The shipment ceremony was held at the headquarters of Saedeulman Co., Ltd. in Gobuk-myeon, with about 10 officials in attendance, including Kim Gapsik, Director of the Seosan Agricultural Technology Center, and Yoon Seokyong, CEO of Saedeulman Co., Ltd.

This export by Saedeulman Co., Ltd. follows the export of 17 tons of high-quality rice to the Netherlands in December last year. The total export value is 60 million won, and the exported variety is "Hyangjinju."

The export is being handled by Asia Express Food, and the rice will be transported to the Netherlands using a single refrigerated container to maintain its freshness.

The city has promoted a project to foster export-leading organizations by providing overseas marketing education and material costs to support the export of agricultural specialties, granting Saedeulman Co., Ltd. a subsidy of 25 million won.

Kim Gapsik, Director of the Seosan Agricultural Technology Center, said, "We will do our best to promote the excellence of Korean rice in the global market," and added, "We will continue to develop and implement various policies to actively support local farmers."

Meanwhile, Saedeulman Co., Ltd. achieved remarkable results as a small and medium-sized agricultural corporation last year by exporting a total of 76 tons, worth $147,742 (approximately 200 million won), to the United States and the Netherlands.
