Companies Collaborating with the Korea Standards Association Achieve 'Top Performance' at the International Quality Control Circle Convention

The Korea Standards Association announced on the 19th that it participated in the 2024 International Convention of Quality Control Circles (ICQCC) held in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, with 14 companies, 24 quality control circles, and 84 members, winning 24 gold awards.

The quality control circles participating in this competition, held from the 11th to the 13th, were teams awarded at the 2023 National Quality Control Circle Competition and belong to Gugoo, Samsung Electronics, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Development Corporation, Cosmecca Korea, Korea South-East Power, Korea Southern Power, Korea East-West Power, Korea Western Power, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, Korea Electric Power Corporation, Korea Midland Power, KEPCO KDN, KEPCO KPS, and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries.


A total of 12 countries, 1,089 quality control circles, and about 2,500 participants competed in this event, and the Korea Standards Association served as the coordinator for the Korean delegation as one of the ICQCC standing committee organizations. Seongwon Seo, Head of Quality Management Division at the Korea Standards Association, said, “Through this competition, we have proven that the level of our quality control circles is world-class,” and added, “We will do our best to support quality control circle activities.”
