Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 18th that it operated the job stress prevention and management program for childcare workers, "Finding Happiness Workshop: Hello, Mind?" three times on the 21st and 25th of last month and the 15th of this month.

This workshop was planned to create a childcare environment where children enrolled in local daycare centers are respected by relieving the physical and mental stress experienced by childcare workers in their daily lives.
Participants recharged themselves by creating color herbariums (preserved forms using special solutions) using the "healing color" they needed.
Childcare workers who participated in the event said, "It was a special experience to fully reflect on ourselves and heal our minds," and "It was very helpful in relieving stress."
Park Eun-mi, director of the Namyangju Childcare Support Center, said, "This program was prepared so that childcare workers could take a break from work and enjoy mental and physical stability," and added, "We plan to support various stress relief activities in the future."
The city plans to continue efforts to improve the childcare environment through various programs such as color therapy and one-night two-day outings to manage job stress of childcare workers.
