The Mirae Asset Park Hyun-joo Foundation announced on the 18th that it held the '4th Mirae Asset MEET-UP Project' together with overseas exchange scholarship students.
The ‘MEET-UP Project,’ held on the 16th at the Mirae Asset Center One Building, is an event aimed at promoting self-development and networking among Mirae Asset overseas exchange scholarship students. This 4th edition of the event saw the participation of over 80 overseas exchange scholarship students.
Professor Kim Nan-do of Seoul National University, a leading trend analyst representing South Korea, gave a special lecture on ‘Trends and Responses in the Era of Technological Innovation.’ Based on his book ‘Trend Korea 2025,’ Professor Kim explained the changes that artificial intelligence and technological advancements will bring to daily life and industries, as well as strategies to respond to these changes. Through this, participants had the opportunity to explore upcoming major social trends in advance and gain broad knowledge and perspectives on the competencies and attitudes needed to prepare for them.
In the subsequent scholarship student networking session, lively discussions and conversations took place centered on the topics of ‘New Year Goals for 2025’ and ‘The Trend in the Era of Technological Innovation That Will Most Influence Me.’ Participants revisited the content of the special lecture, shared their own visions and experiences, empathized with each other’s thoughts, and gained various ideas.
Scholarship student Park Min-ji, who studied as an exchange student at Sorbonne University in France in 2019, said, "As a product designer in the IT industry, I deeply feel the importance of new trends amid the rapidly changing flow of technological innovation," adding, "It was a time to build the competencies needed as a designer in line with future trends and to specifically consider how to respond to the changing environment."
A representative of the Mirae Asset Park Hyun-joo Foundation introduced, "Over 280 scholarship students have participated in the ‘MEET-UP Project’ over its four editions, and the learning and knowledge gained through the event have been evaluated to have a positive impact on career and goal setting." They added, "We hope the MEET-UP Project will provide scholarship students with new perspectives and inspiration and serve as an opportunity to support each other’s growth."
