Global resource circulation leading company DS Danseok announced on the 18th that Chairman Han Seung-wook received the Iron Tower Industrial Medal in recognition of his contributions to the promotion of renewable energy and the development of the energy industry through eco-friendly businesses.
The Korea Energy Agency held the '2024 Korea Energy Awards' ceremony at The Plaza Seoul Hotel on the 18th, honoring individuals and organizations that contributed to improving energy efficiency and advancing the renewable energy industry.
Chairman Han was recognized for his contributions to global greenhouse gas reduction and carbon mitigation through the promotion of renewable energy and activation of the resource circulation economy via eco-friendly businesses (biodiesel, bio-heavy oil, bio-marine fuel).
DS Danseok CEO Han Seung-wook said, "I am pleased that the achievements made together with our executives and employees have been recognized," adding, "I feel rewarded to be able to contribute to the development of Korea's renewable energy industry."
Now in its 46th year, the Korea Energy Awards is the largest government award event in the energy sector, held since 2018 by integrating the Korea Energy Efficiency Awards and the Korea New Renewable Energy Awards.
