Osan-si Segyo 2 District City Bus Route Reorganization Reflecting Demand

Targeting City Bus Routes 7·7-5·60 and Village Bus Route 99

Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 18th that it has finalized a bus route restructuring plan to respond to the increased traffic demand in Segyo 2 District and will implement it sequentially from the 18th.


The routes subject to this restructuring are city buses No. 7, 7-5, 60, and village bus No. 99. The main changes include ▲adding stops to improve school commuting convenience and serve traffic-vulnerable areas (No. 7) ▲switching to large vehicles due to increased demand (No. 7-5) ▲extending routes and adding stops due to the development of large apartment complexes (No. 60, 99), among others.

Osan-si Segyo 2 District City Bus Route Reorganization Reflecting Demand Osan City will sequentially implement the restructured city bus and village bus routes reflecting the demand in Segyo 2 District starting from the 18th. Large electric low-floor buses will be deployed on city bus route 7-5 instead of the existing small buses. Provided by Osan City

The starting point of city bus No. 7 route has been changed to Osan City Public Garage, and additional stops have been added at ▲KEPCO Intersection ▲Daewoo Prugio Apartments ▲Seongho Middle and High Schools ▲Wondong Sujain Apartments ▲Wondang Elementary School (Lotte Castle). City bus No. 7-5 has been replaced with large electric low-floor buses in line with the move-in of large apartment complexes in the Segyo district.


City bus No. 60 route has been extended from its previous terminus at Osan University Station to Dongtan Station. Accordingly, stops have been added at ▲Jungheung S-Class Edu Park ▲Osan University Elkru and Ssangyong Yega ▲Banggyo Elementary School and Lake Xi ▲Hosugongwon ▲Narae School ▲Riviera CC. Village bus No. 99 route has also been adjusted to pass through Jungheung S-Class Edu Park Apartments in Segyo 2 District.


The city plans to continue various measures such as establishing new bus routes and increasing the number of buses to improve transportation conditions in traffic-vulnerable areas and newly occupied apartment areas.


Lee Gwon-jae, Mayor of Osan City, said, "We will focus on continuously reflecting citizens' opinions and improving the public transportation environment that covers not only Segyo District but also the original downtown, Unam District, and Dongosan areas."
