Yangsan-si, 2-Day 1-Night Integrity Experience Training Aiming for Top Integrity Grade

Achieving a Clean Yangsan Together with Mayor Na Dong-yeon

Yangsan City in Gyeongnam Province held the ‘2024 Integrity Experience Education’ at the Choi Buja Academy in Gyeongju on the 18th and 19th, targeting the Integrity Junior Board and outstanding participants who contributed to the promotion of integrity policies.

Held for the second time this year following last year, the education program reflected on the spirit of the era of the Choi Buja family house in Gyeongju, a symbol of integrity, and provided time to reaffirm the proper image of public officials through the frugality and modest scholar spirit. In addition, to achieve first-class integrity in Yangsan, the program included ▲special lectures on integrity laws such as the Anti-Graft Act and Conflict of Interest Prevention Act ▲visits to Chunguidang to understand the history of integrity ▲gathering employee opinions related to integrity, thereby enhancing overall understanding of anti-corruption and integrity systems, which is expected to greatly contribute to improving internal integrity.

So far, the city has implemented various policies to secure citizens’ trust in public service integrity and to encourage public officials to pledge integrity themselves, including the operation of the ‘Anti-Corruption and Integrity Promotion Team’ led by the mayor and senior officials ▲formation and operation of the Integrity Junior Board for low-ranking new public officials ▲holding integrity slogan contests and department-specific visiting integrity consulting ▲hosting the Integrity Golden Bell for harmony and communication among employees ▲and enacting the ‘Integrity Improvement Support Ordinance,’ which serves as a support foundation for enhancing integrity.

Mayor Na Dong-yeon emphasized, “We will make a final push to achieve the goal of first-class integrity and hope that all employees unite to create a joyful and vibrant workplace atmosphere that fosters an honest organizational culture.”
