The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced on the 18th that 12 Incheon startups received a total of 13 CES Innovation Awards ahead of the world's largest home appliance and IT exhibition, 'CES 2025.'
These startups won awards in eight categories including Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital health, and smart cities. In particular, VivaInnovation showcased AI-based polyp detection technology and received Innovation Awards in two categories: AI and human security.
The award-winning companies gained recognition for their technological capabilities on the global stage with support from the Incheon Startup Park’s global expansion and demonstration support projects, as well as CES Innovation Award consulting. The awarded products will be showcased at CES 2025.
The Consumer Technology Association (CTA), which organizes CES, annually evaluates the design, technology, and customer value of submitted products (technologies) before the event opens and grants CES Innovation Awards.
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority plans to promote the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) under the theme "Urban Renaissance, Realizing the City of the Future" at CES 2025, held from January 7 to 10 next year in Las Vegas, USA. A total of 35 startups will participate in CES, including 10 from the Incheon Free Economic Zone Pavilion, 10 from Eureka Park, and 15 from the Incheon Startup Delegation.
Yoon Won-seok, head of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, said, "Following CES 2024, more than 10 Incheon startups received Innovation Awards for two consecutive years, demonstrating global competitiveness," and added, "We will continue to actively support companies’ overseas expansion."
