Unveiling Ceremony of the 'Love Temperature Tower' on the 15th... Fundraising Until February 14, 2025
Target Amount 1.34 Billion Won... First Introduction of 'Card Donation Terminal' This Year
Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) announced on the 18th that it started the ‘2025 Hope Ondol Warm Winter, Our Neighborhood Sharing Campaign’ in collaboration with the Seoul Community Chest of Korea on the 15th.
On the 15th, Dongdaemun-gu held a ‘Love Temperature Tower’ unveiling ceremony with the Warm Winter 2025 ambassadors in the lobby on the first floor of the district office, marking the start of the fundraising campaign.
This fundraising campaign will run for three months until February 14, 2025, under the slogan “Winter becomes warm when we are together.” The fundraising goal is 1.34 billion KRW.
The district simplified the donation methods to encourage more people to participate in sharing.
For the first time this year, a ‘card donation terminal’ was introduced, allowing donors to easily contribute 1,000 KRW by tapping their card on the Love Temperature Tower terminal. Additionally, by using the ‘QR code’ engraved on the temperature tower, donations can be made online without submitting a donation form.
Donations can also be made through the traditional method by sending funds to the Dongdaemun-gu dedicated account (Woori Bank 015-176590-13-524, Account Holder: Social Welfare Corporation Seoul Community Chest of Korea) and then submitting a donation form at a nearby community service center or the Dongdaemun-gu Welfare Policy Division.
For ‘in-kind donations,’ donors can contribute through the Dongdaemun-gu Welfare Policy Division or the community service center located in their residence or workplace area.
All donated funds and goods will be used entirely to help neighbors in need within Dongdaemun-gu, and donors can receive donation receipts to enjoy year-end tax benefits.
Lee In-geun, Deputy Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, “When we all join forces to look after our neighbors in difficulty, Dongdaemun-gu can become a better and happier place to live.”
