The police have partially identified an individual who posted the 2025 academic year Yonsei University early admission natural sciences essay exam question paper online.

On the 18th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Public Crime Investigation Unit announced that, based on the results of a search and seizure of DC Inside where photos of the exam questions were uploaded, they recently confirmed the identity of at least one person.

The police plan to summon all individuals who leaked the exam questions once they are fully identified, to investigate how the photos were obtained and the purpose of posting them.

Earlier, Yonsei University filed complaints against two individuals who posted the early admission essay questions online and four others whose identities have not been determined, on charges including obstruction of business. It is reported that Yonsei University identified the two leakers based on the exam questions and handwritten answers in the photos.

Meanwhile, on the 15th, the court accepted a provisional injunction request from examinees and others to suspend the validity of the leaked essay exam. Accordingly, subsequent procedures such as announcing successful candidates will be halted until the main case is adjudicated. Yonsei University filed an objection in response to the acceptance of the injunction. If the objection is dismissed, they can appeal to the second instance court.
