Yeongjin College Defense and Military Department, 12 Students Pass Military Scholarship Exam

Students from the Department of Defense and Military Studies at Yeungjin College (President Choi Jae-young) have achieved outstanding results in the 'Military Service Bonus Support Fund Selection Exam,' as reported on the 18th.

According to the recent results of the Military Service Bonus Support Fund Selection Exam, 12 first-year students from the Department of Defense and Military Studies were finally accepted, including 7 emergency medical non-commissioned officer (NCO) military scholarship recipients and 5 combat NCO military scholarship recipients.

Students from the Defense Military Department at Yeongjin College, selected as military scholarship students, are shouting "Fighting."

Thus, except for one applicant who was disqualified due to astigmatism, all 13 applicants from the Department of Defense and Military Studies passed.

The Military Service Bonus Support Fund selection is a military scholarship program aimed at nurturing talent for military service. Selected students receive tuition support and various benefits during their service period. In particular, the support fund provides financial assistance that allows students to focus on their studies, and after graduation, they have the opportunity to build careers through military service and play a central role in the military.

Students selected can grow into professional NCOs after their service, offering the advantage of planning a stable future.

Yeungjin College is one of the four universities selected under the Army Headquarters and Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) agreement and separately selects two-year military scholarship students. The students selected this time receive full scholarships for two years and can receive specialized education related to military service in a stable academic environment. Although general department students can also apply for this program, students from the agreement universities are selected through a separate competitive process and receive more systematic support.

Cha Min-gi, who was selected as a combat NCO military scholarship recipient, said, "There were many difficult moments during the selection process, but I was able to overcome them with my peers. I will work harder with a sense of duty as a soldier following this acceptance," adding, "I will also help the friend who unfortunately failed this time to definitely pass next year."

Lee Seo-young, selected as an emergency medical NCO military scholarship recipient, said, "Thanks to the meticulous help from the school and professors, I was able to achieve good results. I will study harder and put what I have learned into practice."

Kim Ki-byeong, head of the Department of Defense and Military Studies (professor), said, "I am very proud that the students achieved such excellent results through their hard work. We will continue to actively support students so they can realize their dreams."

The Department of Defense and Military Studies provides systematic education and practical experience for nurturing military scholarship students, and the efforts of the school and students are evaluated to have led to these results.

Meanwhile, the Department of Defense and Military Studies at Yeungjin College has signed agreements with the Army, Navy, and Air Force Headquarters to focus on training elite NCOs who will serve in various branches such as aviation maintenance NCOs, medical combat NCOs, and defense information and communication NCOs. Over the past five years, it has produced about 600 NCOs serving in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps.
