Yongin City Supplies 16 Youth Startup Support Housing Units

Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 18th that it will recruit residents for the 'Yongin Youth Startup Support Housing' from the 2nd to the 9th of next month.

This housing is purchased by Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) and rented to young entrepreneurs as residential and office space at rates cheaper than the surrounding market price. The city is conducting the project through a business agreement with GH, the Gyeonggi Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, and the Yongin Industry Promotion Agency to foster one-person creative enterprises among youth.

The housing units available this time are 16 units located in Namdong, Cheoin-gu. Each unit has an exclusive area of 30.05㎡. The deposit is 5,366,000 KRW, and the monthly rent varies from 248,700 KRW to 435,660 KRW depending on income and asset criteria. The city explained that the rent is about 30-50% of the surrounding market price.

The contract period is two years and can be extended up to four times if renewal conditions are met. Eligibility to apply is for unmarried young people without housing residing in Yongin City who are one-person creative entrepreneurs (including prospective startups). Those wishing to move in must prepare the application form and other required documents and submit them in person at City Hall or by registered mail within the application period.
