Jungjingong Recognized for Contributions to Data-Driven Administrative Activation

Data Analysis and Utilization Contest 'Excellence Award' and Other Awards Received

The Small and Medium Business Corporation announced on the 18th that it won three awards, including an institutional commendation, at the '2024 Korea Government Expo.' This expo was hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Digital Platform Government Committee to share government innovation achievements and best practices utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) technology, and to present a future vision.


At the ‘2024 Data Analysis and Utilization Contest,’ held as an on-site presentation, the Small and Medium Business Corporation won the Excellence Award for its business management support achievements using ‘BizPathFinder,’ a big data platform dedicated to small and medium enterprises. The platform was highly praised for providing information such as predicting corporate growth paths, recommending customized policy projects, suggesting export items, and marketing by utilizing corporate data of 580,000 companies accumulated over more than 40 years.

Additionally, the Small and Medium Business Corporation received a commendation from the Chairman of the Digital Platform Government for its contributions to digital innovation and data-based administrative revitalization at the ‘National Report Meeting,’ which showcased the efforts and blueprint of the Digital Platform Government. Furthermore, at the ‘2024 Government Innovation Championship,’ it was selected as an innovation case in the government sector preparing for the future and received the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award. The corporation was selected as one of the final 41 outstanding government innovation cases out of a total of 647 cases for its achievements in supporting youth employment to solve job issues and activate the inflow of talent into small and medium enterprises.


Chairman Kang Seok-jin said, “This award is the result of the Small and Medium Business Corporation’s efforts to establish data-based administrative infrastructure and support the innovative growth of small and medium enterprises in response to the acceleration of big data and AI technology development.” He added, “Going forward, we will build a collaborative platform involving the public, private sectors, and customers using data to respond to the Digital Platform Government’s national agenda, and nurture excellent young talent who will lead future advanced industries, taking the lead in the innovative growth of small and medium enterprises and resolving manpower shortages.”
