Husband Arrested for Stabbing Wife with Weapon: "Spent a Lot of Money"

A man was arrested by the police for attempting to kill his wife with a weapon because she spent a lot of money.

The Gwanak Police Station in Seoul arrested a man in his 50s at a house in Sillim-dong around 11:20 PM last night for attempting to kill his wife by stabbing her with a kitchen knife, accusing her of "spending too much money." The man is suspected of attacking his wife's neck while drinking together around 10:40 PM last night.

The police, who responded to the victim's report, arrested the man on the spot on charges of attempted murder, and the victim was found to be in no life-threatening condition. The police are reviewing the possibility of applying for an arrest warrant after investigating the man's exact motive for the crime.
