On the 16th at 11 a.m., the ‘Mapo-gu Daycare Center Association Bazaar’ for sharing with neighbors was held at the plaza in front of Mapo-gu Office.
On this day, about 300 people including Park Gang-su, the head of Mapo-gu Office, parents of children attending local daycare centers, and residents participated, and the Daycare Center Association operated various sales booths offering clothing, miscellaneous goods, and food.
The bazaar began with a fan dance and handbell performance prepared by the children, followed by an award ceremony led by the district head for children who won prizes in the environmental protection contest.
In particular, all proceeds and in-kind donations from the bazaar are planned to be donated to the ‘Mapo-gu Resident Participation Filial Piety Meal’ for seniors aged 75 and older, making it a more meaningful sharing event.
Park Gang-su, head of Mapo-gu Office, said, “I believe that practice is necessary even for sharing,” adding, “I thank all the children, residents, and members of the Mapo-gu Daycare Center Association who participated in this precious sharing for neighbors, and I hope this event becomes a warm memory that conveys sharing and filial piety.”
