Hanam Youth Center Receives Governor's Award for Excellence in Gyeonggi-do Youth Activity Promotion

Gyeonggi Hanam Youth Center (Director Jo Jaeyoung) announced on the 17th that it was selected as an outstanding institution and received a commendation from the Governor of Gyeonggi Province at the ‘2024 Gyeonggi-do Youth Activity Awards Ceremony’ hosted by the Gyeonggi-do Youth Activity Promotion Center on the 15th.

This commendation was established to reward and encourage individuals and organizations that have contributed to the promotion of youth activities in Gyeonggi-do, aiming to boost the morale of leaders and enhance the activation and recognition of youth activities within the province.

Hanam Youth Center, which opened in June 2020, has contributed to institutionalizing youth participation and rights enhancement through the operation of the ‘nation’s first Youth Director System.’ It has also taken the lead in responding to climate change and providing opportunities for youth participation in environmental protection. Additionally, through the development and operation of Hanam-style global citizenship education, it fosters character development and contributes to nurturing future talents integrating knowledge, values, and actions.

Jo Jaeyoung, Director of Hanam Youth Center, said, “I am grateful for the hard work of the staff who have diligently worked for the youth and local residents, and I also thank the citizens and youth who use the Hanam Youth Center. We will continue to do our best to make the Youth Center a place where young people can live well and engage happily.”
