Gyeonggi Province Corporation announced on the 17th that it will hold the ‘Good Price Good Consumption Declaration Ceremony’ on the 19th at the Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation International Conference Hall located in Seongnam City. This event aims to urge government support for the activation of public delivery apps, declare a good consumption campaign through public delivery apps, and will include a win-win agreement for the activation of public delivery apps.

Additionally, a business agreement for ‘Spreading Good Consumption and Joint Cooperation’ will be signed among four leading public delivery apps nationwide. The agreement participants include Gyeonggi Province Corporation, which operates the Gyeonggi public delivery app Baedal Teukgeup, Gwangju Economic Promotion Win-Win Job Foundation operating the Gwangju public delivery app service, Meokgaebi, and Ttaenggyeoyo.

Gyeonggi Province recently decided to promote the activation of the private delivery app market operating with brokerage fees below 2% to support small business owners struggling with high delivery brokerage fees. Meokgaebi and Ttaenggyeoyo were selected as project participants. From next year, these two companies will be able to use the Gyeonggi local currency payment system, further reducing the fee burden on small business owners and expanding choices for delivery service users.

Gyeonggi Province Corporation prepared this agreement with the intention of leading the development of public delivery apps and spreading a culture of good consumption through cooperation with these companies.

Along with this, a ‘Public Delivery App Activation Talk Concert’ will be held, attended by Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly members, Baedal Teukgeup franchise stores, and consumers. The talk concert will provide an opportunity to think about and communicate the role, value, and future direction of public delivery apps.

Lee Jae-jun, CEO of Gyeonggi Province Corporation, said, “The Gyeonggi public delivery app is more than just a platform; it is a tool to realize public interest and social responsibility, prioritizing the interests of local small business owners and promoting a healthy circulation of the local economy. Through this declaration ceremony, we will create sustainable growth of the local economy through solidarity between consumers and small business owners, and we ask for your great interest in this event.”

Meanwhile, the event plans to allow more citizens to participate through online live streaming.
