On the afternoon of the 15th, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the Mapo Central Library, where the disabled arts and culture performance presentation, 'Mapo Anyone Autumn Culture and Arts Festival,' was held.
Hosted by Mapo District, this event was planned to promote artistic activities for people with disabilities and to improve awareness of disabilities.
The event featured a variety of content. The performance presentation began with a harmonica performance by the Mapo Disabled Comprehensive Welfare Center, followed by a wheelchair user clothing reform fashion show by the Parents' Association of Severe Multiple Cerebral Palsy, and a recital of self-composed poems by people with severe cerebral palsy.
Afterwards, there were orchestra performances by the Mapo Disabled Comprehensive Welfare Center, a congratulatory performance by the Gongdeok Harmony Choir, a performance by the Mapo Developmental Disabilities Cultural Creation Center's 'Everyone's Hula,' the musical 'Birthday Party' by the Mapo Purme Vocational Rehabilitation Center, and the Bichsori Friends' performance of Byeoljubu-jeon.
On this day, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, said, "I was truly moved by everyone who overcame numerous difficulties and delivered wonderful performances," adding, "In Mapo District, we will do our best to ensure that anyone can enjoy culture and arts regardless of disability, and that everyone can enjoy a happy daily life."
