The city of Guri, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 15th that the 2024 Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony was successfully held at Guri Square at 6 p.m. on the 14th.

The event, jointly prepared by Guri City and the Guri Christian Council, saw many citizens participate, sharing messages of hope and love, creating a warm Christmas atmosphere.
At the event, Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri, Shin Dong-hwa, Chairperson of the Guri City Council, and Kim Ho-kyung, President of the Guri Christian Council, along with pastors from member churches, attended and lit the Christmas tree lights together with the citizens, adding to the emotional impact.
Kim Ho-kyung, President of the Guri Christian Council, said, “I hope today’s event was a time to convey the joy of Christmas and warm love to the citizens,” and added, “I will dedicate myself to ensuring that Guri City continues the spirit of sharing and love.”

Meanwhile, the city plans to maintain Christmas trees installed at three locations?Guri Square, Galmae-dong Complex Office, and Jangja Lake Park?until January 15, 2025, to create a hopeful year-end and New Year atmosphere.
