The Guri City Youth Foundation (CEO Kang Jong-il) Youth Training Center announced on the 15th that it will operate a one-day class on the 27th called ‘Cultural Creation Class’ and on the 28th called ‘Visiting Youth Training Center,’ where participants will create their own special clocks using sea glass, aiming to protect the environment and enhance creativity.
This program was planned to help participants feel the beauty of nature and recognize the importance of environmental protection through the activity of making their own unique clocks using beautiful sea glass, which is naturally cracked and polished.
The education targets are students from 1st to 4th grade in elementary schools within the district, and 20 participants each for the ‘Cultural Creation Class’ and ‘Visiting Youth Training Center’ will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis via phone registration.
Baek Kyung-hyun, director of the Guri City Youth Foundation, said, “I hope that through the one-day class conducted with the theme of environmental protection, young people had the opportunity to take small steps toward having the right environmental awareness and putting it into action. I also hope they continue to live a life of constant reflection and practice on how humans can coexist with nature.”
Meanwhile, the Guri City Youth Foundation Youth Training Center operates various programs for youth, and detailed program information can be found on the website, Naver Band, Instagram, Kakao Plus Friend, or by contacting the Youth Education Team at the Guri City Youth Foundation Youth Training Center.
