National Police Agency Hosts International Conference on Fraud Prevention... "Participation from Governments and Academia of 16 Countries"

The National Police Agency announced on the 18th that it will hold the "2nd International Conference on Fraud Prevention."

The event was attended by 61 participants, including government and academic delegations from 16 countries, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Interpol, Europol, and global companies.


The conference agenda is "The World as One Team: Responding to the Fraud Ecosystem." It aims to strengthen cooperation in information sharing on fraud prevention, prevention measures, and recovery of damages among law enforcement agencies. Additionally, plans are underway to establish a network among fraud prevention centers of various countries. Furthermore, to respond to new types of fraud using online platforms, the cooperation system for fraud prevention will be reinforced with domestic and international online platform companies.


Jo Ji-ho, Commissioner of the National Police Agency, stated, "To eradicate the organized fraud crime ecosystem, we will establish a robust fraud prevention system alongside strong crackdowns, and seize criminal proceeds to cut off links to crime."
