A fishing vessel operating off the coast of Seogwipo, Jeju, capsized. Of the four people on board, three were rescued, but one person is missing.
At around 3:37 PM on the 15th, a report was received by the coast guard that fishing vessel A (7.93 tons, 4 crew members) registered in Seongsan, operating 2.6 km east of Sinpung Port, Seongsan-eup, Seogwipo-si, Jeju, had capsized.
Of the four crew members, three were rescued by the coast guard’s coastal rescue boat, but the captain in his 60s is missing. The coast guard is deploying seven coast guard vessels, one fisheries guidance ship, four civilian fishing boats, and one helicopter to search for the missing person.
