Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, was present at the Seoul Central District Court for the first trial verdict on charges of violating the Public Official Election Act when a man who threw a shoe was arrested on the spot by the police.

The Seocho Police Station in Seoul announced on the 15th at around 2 p.m. that a man identified as A, suspected of assault, was arrested on the spot in front of the Seoul Central District Court West Building.
According to the police, Mr. A is known to have thrown a pair of sneakers at Lee, who was entering to attend the trial.
