Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 15th that it held the "Yeoncheon-gun Rice Brand and Packaging Design Development Service Final Report Meeting" at the Agricultural Technology Center on the 13th. This meeting was an opportunity to share plans for the packaging design and brand image establishment of "Maeilcheotssal Yeoncheon Rice," which was selected as the integrated rice brand of Yeoncheon-gun.
The meeting was attended by representatives of rice-related organizations, officials from the Nonghyup, and private experts. The final report introduced the main achievements of brand development, packaging design, and promotional methods.
The Yeoncheon-gun rice brand and packaging design were developed for the new variety "Yeonjin-byeo," jointly developed by the Yeoncheon-gun Agricultural Technology Center and the Gyeonggi-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services. Yeonjin-byeo possesses amylose and protein contents characteristic of delicious rice varieties and has shown minimal issues with pre-harvest sprouting despite this year's abnormal climate, earning recognition for its potential from both consumers and farmers.
In particular, the final packaging design of "Maeilcheotssal Yeoncheon Rice" was unveiled at the Yeoncheon Yulmu Festival last October. At the festival, the newly designed 10kg packaged rice was sold by the Nonghyup, receiving positive feedback from consumers for its clean design.
A Yeoncheon-gun official stated, "We will cooperate with producers to ensure that Maeilcheotssal Yeoncheon Rice is trusted by consumers for both taste and quality as Yeoncheon-gun’s representative rice."
