The event, held from September 30 to the 14th, was organized to raise fire safety awareness among northern Gyeonggi youth and strengthen their crisis response capabilities. A total of 188 members from 9 units of the Korea 119 Youth Corps participated and experienced various hands-on programs.

The members learned fire theory through experiments and practice at the "Open Fire Science Classroom" held at Kyungmin University, and toured the 119 Integrated Situation Room to experience the 119 emergency call reception process and proper reporting methods.

The fire safety experience included riding an escape device, water spray experience, touring fire equipment, and practicing first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). In particular, the escape device ride experience for evacuation during fires was very popular, and the educational programs prepared for various situations received positive responses from participants.

Prevention Director Kwon Seon-wook said, "I hope this fire experience learning program helped youth realize the importance of safety and further strengthened their crisis response abilities," adding, "We will continue to nurture future safety leaders through various safety experience education programs and create a safer Gyeonggi Province."
