The 4-minute 30-second video was planned by Professor Seo and sponsored by Song Hye-kyo, featuring narration in both Korean and English to widely reach netizens at home and abroad. The main content of the video introduces how Kim Maria, instead of men who were heavily monitored by the Japanese authorities, personally wore a kimono and smuggled the ‘February 8th Independence Declaration’ into Korea, distributing it across the country. It also reexamines her role in organizing the female secret society, the Patriotic Women’s Association of the Republic of Korea, establishing branches domestically and overseas, raising military funds, and delivering them to the Provisional Government, among various independence activities.

Professor Seo, who planned the video, stated, "This is the third video produced following those on Jeong Jeong-hwa and Yoon Hee-sun, aiming to shed light on the lives of female independence activists who are not well known to the public and to widely introduce them both domestically and internationally." He added, "We plan to continue producing a series of multilingual videos about more female independence activists in the future and steadily promote them at home and abroad." The video is currently being disseminated not only on YouTube but also through various social networking services (SNS), and is especially shared widely within major Korean and international student communities worldwide.
